We Walk 4 Water

When Spencer West had his legs amputated at the age of five, he was told he would never be a functioning member of society. 26 years later in 2012, he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.

In May this year he traveled overland from Edmonton to Calgary, a 300km walk. Whistler Water was proud to play a small part during the 11-day walk by keeping Spencer and his team hydrated in the heat.

Spencer makes the impossible possible and encourages others to do the same by “redefining their possible.”

Inspired by Spencer and the work of Free The Children, we’re launching on June 22nd the inaugural Whistler Water One Climb. We’re challenging youth and their families to dress in blue and “flood the Grouse Grind,” all to raise money for Free The Children clean water projects in Kenya. The inspiring Spencer West will be there to greet us at the top and share more of his incredible journey.
