We Day in Waterloo, Feb 17,  brought together thousands of students from the region, bringing their support and energy for social change at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Complex. Nobel Laureate and former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, civil rights leader Reverend Jesse Jackson Sr., iconic Canadian rock band the Barenaked Ladies, cast members from Degrassi, Assembly of First Nations National Chief Shawn A-in-chut Atleo, chart- topping pop/R&B singer Shawn Desman, pop/rock band Stereos, Me to We motivational speaker Spencer West, founders of Free The Children Craig and Marc Kielburger and many more.

We Day, the event itself, is just the beginning of a larger, youth-driven movement that creates systemic change around the world. Students and educators leave We Day with fresh inspiration and passion to make a difference, and are provided with the tools necessary to make change a reality. – Free The Children press release (http://www.weday.ca/press)

Whistler Water has been a partner of We Day since 2009. We are honoured to be a part of an event series like We Day, that has since helped rally youth attendees to “an estimated two million hours of volunteer work and raised over $10 million, benefiting local charities in communities across Canada.”

Please take the time to become a Fan of We Day on Facebook and find out more about Free The Children on their website.
